Summer Updates

I’ve been changing my geographical location so things may not be as aggressive on the blog as in June. June had record traffic and blog posts while zero podcasts! I suspect a reversal in the next several weeks; more podcasts and less blog posts. But God is in control. Do pray for RealApologetics.org and my pursuits as a young and often inexperienced thinker. The lack of connections, age, and not-yet complete seminary education makes it challenging to use my spiritual gifts and knowledge in a more formalized/local ministry setting.
In the meantime, I’m preparing three debates which take lots of time and planning; two on apologetic method and another on limited atonement/soteriology. I’ll be happy if even one shakes out – I have found in the last year that talk is cheap when it comes to getting out from behind the keyboard and defending radical claims. But, what can we expect in today’s culture with so much fluff and such little meat? “Serious Christianity” sometimes feels harder to find these days, even from circles that are supposed to be representing “real” Christianity (I won’t bother mentioning Caner and Liberty U. on this one…).
I would like your feedback regarding a new (additional) project: “The RealApologetics 180.” A 3 minute podcast on a single concept. Dozens. Accessible. Understandable. Much less academic and more introductory. I’ve fought with this idea because I’m a firm believer in encouraging Christians to make sacrifices for their time with the Lord in prayer and study (“sermonettes = Christianettes”). We must learn to prioritize our lives. However, I do realize that, even so, time is a factor, whether we like it or not in today’s busy world. We’ve enclosed ourselves in as a society, and who knows if there’s a way out! (Do we not long for the days of David, striding the pastures, writing music, worshiping God under the stars each night?) And I think some people in the rat race would like to learn more about apologetics, and a short clip for the ipod or what have you might be more approachable? Let me know!
